The Silverdale Hotel

Built in 1836, The Silverdale Hotel is a listed building with a friendly atmosphere fully in keeping with the area and has been recently refurbished.

The Silverdale Hotel is a free house and provides good food and drink and comfortable accommodation, with a warm welcome and excellent service. Silverdale is a crowd free base for enjoying walking in the Arnside and Silverdale AONB, birdwatching at Leighton Moss RSBP Reserve or the wealth of historic and other attractions of the Lake District, Bowland and North Yorkshire Moors.

The Silverdale Hotel is a family pub and welcomes children. We have seven en-suite bedrooms and they have views over the bay, hotel garden or countryside.
On entering the Hotel through the wood panelled reception area you will find yourself in the main lounge bar, well stocked with beers, wines and spirits, we serve excellent varied bar meals daily. Besides the main wood panelled lounge there are other corners to relax, with cosy fires in winter and comfortable arm chairs. The conservatory is a large extension to the lounge and provides a light and airy dining area overlooking the beer garden. Beyond the conservatory is the Brittania Room, a comfortable dining area.

We have new menus and Sunday carvery, a greater choice of freshly home cooked fare.
The Hotel is also dog friendly, and well behaved children too.

Ye Olde Fighting Cocks

The recently renovated Ye Olde Fighting Cocks offers both single and double en suite rooms making it a perfect retreat while visiting the Lake District and Arnside Area.

All our rooms are en-suite with the comfort of Eygptian cotton sheets, upgraded TV's, hairdryer, trouser press. Radio alarm, and a welcome tray for guests to refresh themselves. Fantastic views of the Kent estuary and the Lakeland mountains can be seen from the bedrooms, and we provide binoculars.

Enjoy a fantastic traditional hearty breakfast which is served between 8.00 and 9.00.
We serve home cooked and freshly prepared food with daily specials, and a traditional roast on Sundays. For young ones we offer a special childrens menu, drink, meal and an ice cream. Jay's restaurant is open till 8.30 (except tues).

To include 1 room with full disabled facilities and immediate parking, 2 Family Rooms and a 2 bed appartment with two en-suite bathrooms.
Outside, a terraced garden allows you to watch the bore race up the river at high tide, do a spot of bird watching or simply while away your day. Our new 35 Foot stone Viking Ship is amazing!

Facilities include a car park and barn where cycles can be locked away. For those without thier own transport there is a nearby railway station (we'll collect you) with links to the rest of the Lake District.
We even have mountain bikes to hire at £12 per day, includes safety hat and hi vis tabbard.
