Les and Christine look forward to welcoming you to their home. We are situated at the southern tip of Lake Windermere at Newby Bridge and only a short walk away from the Swan hotel and the Newby Bridge hotel. We have once again been awarded the Highly Commended AA 4star GOLD accolade for 2014 and also awarded a breakfast award from the AA.

Lyndhurst is exclusively non-smoking. We have ample private parking and WiFi. We do accept children aged 8+ (please note that we do not have any family rooms).
Sorry but we do not allow pets into the house and all our guest bedrooms are located on the first floor.

All our rooms are en-suite, each having colour TV, hospitality trays, hairdryers, radios, toiletries and offer a high standard of comfort.
King Room
A spacious bright room overlooking gardens and trees. It has a comfy sofa , flat screen didgital t.v., hospitality tray and hairdryer. The spacious en-suite has a shower cubical, white fluffy bath, hand and face towels and quality complimentary toiletries.
Double Room
Our cosy double rooms have views across to the hills, with a shower en-suite complete with bath, hand and face towels, and complimentary quality toiletries. The room also has a hospitality tray, hairdryer, flat screen dighital t.v and seating.
Twin / King Room
A large and airy room overlooking the garden. It can be either a twin or a superkingsize double room. It has a good size en-suite shower room which is complete with white fluffy bath, hand and face towels. and complimentary quality toiletries. All our rooms have hospitality trays, hairdryers and digital flatscreen t.v's.

We serve a full English breakfast of the very best local produce as well as a vegetarian and continental option. We are happy to help with any special dietary requirement requests.
All are served with fruit juice, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, our own home-made bread, jams and marmalade.

We also provide cycle storage together with ample private car parking for guest use only.

Old Barn Farm Guest House

Old Barn Farm is a charming Lakeland guest house dating back to the 17th century, set in beautiful open countryside at the head of the Cartmel valley, 1 mile from lake Windermere.

The house has recently been decorated and refurbished to reveal its original lakeland features. It is ideally situated for exploring the Lake District, Furness Peninsula and the Yorkshire Dales. During your stay at Old Barn Farm why not relax in your room or enjoy the quiet of the residents lounge. Alternatively meander around our beautiful gardens or take one of the many local paths up onto the fells with their magnificent view points.

Breakfast is served in the dining room and consists of a wide choice of cereals, fruit salad and fresh fruit, followed by a hearty Lakeland breakfast made with local produce. We also offer a continental breakfast and other lighter options. Special diets catered for. Vegetarians welcome.

Old Barn Cottages

Built in the 17th century Old Barn Cottages are charming Lakeland 4 & 5 star self catering cottages set in beautiful open countryside at the head of the Cartmel valley 1 mile from Lake Windermere.

Enjoying superb views over Lakeland Fells, they have been carefully restored whilst retaining many original features, to offer comfortably furnished and well equipped award winning family accommodation including Wifi internet and ipod docking station.

The cottages are centrally heated for all year round occupancy, offering spacious living areas together with off road parking. Bed linen and towels are included with each stay along with tea towels and oven gloves. We also provide a starter pack of toilet roll, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. We are a Non-smoking establishment and unable to accommodate pets.
