Torver Holiday Accommodation

Torver's choices of holiday accommodations lay within open countryside with easy access to the shores of Coniston Water, the heights of the “Old Man” and the Furness Fells a little way beyond. Torver is an ideal “escape” location especially for those looking for a taste of typical homegrown sports of fell racing, hound trailing, Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling, country shows, and the freedom and room to wander undisturbed the country lanes, lake shore and woodland paths and the trails of the fells. For Torver information, and details of attractions and Torver events all within a comfortable travelling distance, please see our sister site for descriptions in words and pictures of the Lake District towns and villages of the National Park. www.wordsworthcountry.com

Crake Valley Holiday Park

Crake Valley Park

Crake Valley Lodge

Crake Valley Caravan

Crake Valley is a small family run holiday park close to the picturesque holiday village of Coniston, with a maximum of ten static holiday caravans and five timber lodges all maintained in first class condition and set in lovely surroundings with a large variety of birds and wildlife.

The park is situated in an elevated position across from Coniston Water, which is only a short walk away, sheltered on three sides by mature oak trees, with views across to the Coniston Old Man mountain and surrounding fells, the park opens onto Blawith Common, which is an extensive area of wild and craggy moorland where you can wander at will, with lovely walks to Beacon Tarn and Torver. It is an ideal base for touring the lakes, with all visitor attractions within easy reach, but a car is advisable to get the most of your holiday. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
We have two caravans that are pet free.

We have 5 timber clad lodges, 4 two bedroom and 1 three bedroom all 37' long x 12' wide and completely self contained. All comprise of lounge/dining room with French windows leading onto a balcony with patio furniture. At Crake Valley we are very proud that for the last 16 years we have been recipients of the Bellamy GOLD Award for environmental conservation which was voted for by guests who have visited our park.

The main bedroom has a double bed, while the second (and in one case the third) contains two single beds. There are heaters in all bedrooms. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, wash basin, toilet and shaver point.
All our caravans are completely self contained and fully equipped with electricity, hot water, shower and flush toilets.

The Coniston Range 30' x 10' sleeps 4 (1 double and 1 twin)
The Windermere Range 35' x 10' sleeps 6 (1 double and 2 twins)
